Walter W. Abraham, 69, former ly of Oshkosh, died today at 4 a.m. at a nursing home in Milwaukee. He had been at Wood Hospital before going to the nursing home two weeks ago.
He was born in Oshkosh on Feb 11, 1893, and had been employed by the Milwaukee Road for 10 years until his retirement a year ago. He had resided in Milwaukee the past 35 years.
Mr. Abraham served with the Army during World War I, and was a member of Henry J. Schaefer Post 2923, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Milwaukee.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Wollmer, Milwaukee; two brothers,. Raymond and Harvey Abraham, Oshkosh; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Fiss & Bills Fu neral Home, with the Rev. Erling W Rabe, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of services.
