"Frank" Brooks Harper was born on August 19, 1907 in Dunklin County, Gibson, Missouri and died on October 3, 2000 in Garland County, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. He was ths son of "Marvin" H. Harper, Sr. and "Minnie" Belle Brooks Harper. He married "Ruth" Mae Guthrie Lawhon on December 3, 1942 in Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1905 in Craighead County, Black Oak, Arkansas, the daughter of Andrew J. and Mollie Guthrie, and died on May 22, 1996 in Garland County, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. After their deaths both Frank and his wife Ruth were cremated and their ashes are buried beside each other in the Harper burial site at Mount Zion Cemetery in Pemiscot County, Steele, Missouri. Before WWII "Frank" Brooks Harper was running an insurance business in Pemiscot County, Steele, Missouri. During World War II "Frank" Brooks Harper was stationed at Camp Barkeley to go to officers training school. Camp Barkeley was located a few miles south of Abilene, Texas. While "Frank" Brooks Harper was stationed at Camp Barkeley he married "Ruth" Mae Guthrie Lawhon on December 3, 1942 at the Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene, Texas. Dr. J. O. Haynes officiated the wedding ceremony of "Frank" Brooks Harper and "Ruth" Guthrie Lawhon Harper. During 1943 "Frank" Brooks Harper was the adjutant of the 144th Station Hospital at Camp Butner, located in Durham, North Carolina, and was promoted to 1st lieutenant. "Frank" Brooks Harper left WWII as a major in the medical administrative corps. After WWII "Frank" Brooks Harper set up a real estate business in Garland County, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas where "Frank" Brooks Harper and his wife "Ruth" Mae Guthrie Lawhon Harper lived until their deaths.
