Mr. Baker was the owner and operator of Baker's Fredericksburg Shoe Repair. He was a drummer in many bands in the Fredericksburg area for almost fifty years. Survivors include his son, Ryan M. Baker and daughter-in-law Missy of Spotsylvania; his sisters, Robyn Pates of Stafford and Bonnie Baker-Day of North Carolina; his grandchild, Riley Baker; his brothers David Baker of Fredericksburg and Russell Baker of Spotsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
