FOWLER - HARP
An event of unusual social interest was the wedding of Mrs. Belle Fowler of Louisville, Kentucky, to Hon. DeMarcus Ellis Harp, a prominent businessman and land holder of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, on Wednesday evening, at the home of the bride's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. James E. Fowler, of Louisville, Kentucky (or might be Bonita, Louisiana). The ceremony was solemnized by Rev. P. H. Fontaine in the presence of a few friends and relatives. After the ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Harp, amid a shower of rice and old shoes, left in their car for the Harp Homestead where they will be at home to their many friends. Those present included Mr. & Mrs. James E. Fowler, Mr. & Mrs. D. R. Harp, Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Credelle, Mr. & Mrs. R. C. White, Misses Willievie Fowler, Willie Bell Harp and Vivian Harp.

MRS. BELLE HARP DIES IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
Mrs. Belle Harp, widow of the late Demarquis Ellis Harp, died Monday in an Indianapolis, Indiana hospital. She was 82 years old and had been ill for a year or longer. Mrs. Harp was the widow of Edward Heatley Fowler, when she came to Bonita with her son, Jimmy, who was employed by the Louisville Cooperage, and married Demarcus Ellis Harp, a pioneer Morehouse Parish citizen, 20 years ago.

Mrs. Harp will be buried in Louisville, Kentucky, her old home. Mrs. Harp familiarly named "Nannie" by all who knew her, was a kind and gracious lady and was greatly loved by everyone here in Morehouse Parish.
