Lucy Elizabeth Byrd of Marshall died in the Boone County hospital on March 22, 1976. She was 87 years of age. She was born August 4, 1888, a daughter of John and Sara Duck Tucker (deceased).
Survivors are sons, George, Elmer and Johnny of Marshall, Tom of Parsons, KS and Odis of Independence, MO. Daughters Martha of Marshall, Mrs. Elsie Harrell of Bloomington, CA, Mrs. Bertha Thomas of Baxter Springs, KS, Mrs Opel Davis of Modesto, CA, and Mrs. Ollie Bolen of Lamont, CA., fifty four grandchildren, one hundred and fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held March 24, 1976 at Silver Hill Cemetery with Rev. D.F. Berry officiating. Coffman Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
