PETER GEORGE DEAD.
Aged Resident of This County Succumbed to Paralysis Tuesday.
Many friends of Peter George will be grieved to hear of his death at his home four miles north and one mile west of Hallowell, Tuesday morning at 3:30, from paralysis. Mr. Geirge was 70 years, 3 months and 19 days of age. The funeral was held from the Mount Pisgah Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Emerson Hull officiated at the funeral.
Mr. George has lived in the county adjoining Columbus for the past 32 years. He was married to Susan Coble 49 years ago. To this union were born 13 children, seven of whom with his wife, survive his death. The sons and daughters are: Of this city, Mrs. Wm. Mayhood, Mrs. Rufus Wilson, Tom George, Mrs. Ida Mack, Fred George of Hallowell, and Rhuben and Myrtle at home.
Mr. George has spent his residence in this county in farming. His record as a friend, neighbor and a man is an enviable one.
