Funeral service will be at First Assembly of God, Bowlegs, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation in Wichita Falls will be at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home on Thursday, July 26 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Hope was born to the late Bertha and Grover Mainord on July 24, 1927 in Bryant, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of 11 children, 10 of whom lived to adulthood. She married W. A. "Bill" Taylor on June 3, 1949. Hope was a loving mother and devoted her adult life to be a caregiver to others. This led her to become certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The greatest joy in Hope's life was in her faith in God, service in her local church, and taking care of her family. She loved cooking, gardening, playing the piano, and serving others.
Hope was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Taylor, parents Grover and Bertha Mainord, sisters Willa Dean McNalley and Freda Flemming, and brother Grover Garland Mainord.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Durham and husband Cole of Mesa, AZ, and Marie Moore and husband Billy of Wichita Falls, TX, and one son Lee Taylor and wife Judy of Navasota, TX; four grandsons, three granddaughters, nine great grandsons, seven great granddaughters, one great-great grandson, and two great-great granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
