Marjorie was born on Sept. 6, 1924 in Rockfield to the late LJ and Mabel Eva (Ray) Deel. She was a 1942 graduate of Rockfield High School.
She married her husband of 72 years, Norman C. Been, on Nov. 19, 1945 in Hayward, California, where Norman was stationed in the Navy.
Mrs. Been had worked at National Homes in its infancy. She had also worked in various offices in the Carroll County courthouse as well as was former postmaster at Rockfield.
She was a charter member of the Rockfield Community Club and life member of the Rockfield Presbyterian Church.
Along with her husband Norman, she is survived by her four children, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded by her brother Bob Deel and his wife, Grace.
Viewing will be at Rockfield Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral services. Pastor Jerry Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockfield Cemetery.
