Born Feb. 21, 1911 at Uniontown, he was the son of T. B. and Eva Howde Roden and was a stockman and carpenter.
Survivors are a brother, Roy Roden of Van Buren and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Gertrude) Batchelor of Van Buren.
Funeral service was held in Ocker Memorial chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Sheldon Swaim was the officiating minister. Burial was in Salem cemetery.
Casket bearers were Homer Marshall, Bill Vickery, M. H. Bernard, Leroy Bernard, Otto Hulsey and Willie Richmond.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Matlock, Lindsey Peace Sr., W. C. Rose, Joe Hibbard, Ralph Small, Milton Mundy and Henry Snow, Fines Batchelor Sr.
