Mrs. Blanche Thompson
Mrs. Blanche Thompson, 91, 1239 Dale street, died at 7:30 a.m. today at her home after an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Thompson was born at Grandview and spent her life in this community. She attended Mulford Free Evangelical church.
The daughter of Peter and Josephine Dickerson Stineman, she was born May 16, 1873. She was married in 1899 at Rock Island, Ill., to William Thompson. Her husband, three brothers and a sister are dead.
Surviving are three sons, Ray and Reubin Thompson, Muscatine, and LeRoy Thompson, Columbus Junction; four daughters, Mrs. Grace Tackenberg and Mrs. Edith Martin, Muscatine, Mrs. Cecil Harl, Letts, and Mrs. Frances Hurlbut, Enid, Okla,; one sister, Mrs. Nina Boerner, Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home. The Rev. Caleb Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home starting Sunday afternoon.
