"May 23, 1920 - August 8, 2014 Edward Scott Aldrich Jr., 94, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born on May 23, 1920 in Los Angeles, CA. Edward was raised in Santa Monica, CA. He graduated from Los Angeles High School in Los Angeles in 1938. After high school, he served in World War II with the Army Air Force. After his years of service, he met and married his wife of 65 years, Muriel Remerscheid. Edward worked in the auto insurance industry as a Vice President for Century National Insurance. Ed and Muriel resided in the San Fernando Valley for most of their marriage and retired to Palmdale in 1990. Edward is survived by his wife Muriel; his daughter Mary Ann Aldrich of Palmdale, CA; his daughter Claudia Baumgartner and her husband Don of Chatsworth, CA; his son Scott Aldrich and his wife Sheryl of West Hills, CA; his grandchildren Donald Baumgartner and his wife Christy, Annee Powell and her husband Jason, Matthew Aldrich and Max Aldrich, his great-grandchildren Kyle Baumgartner, Reanna Powell, Kailee Powell, Justin Powell and Brody Baumgartner. A memorial service will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, CA at 12:30 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014."
