Mr. Jennings Earl "Jay" Smith, 64, of Sugar Grove, WV. died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.
Mr. Smith, born in Sugar Grove, WV; was the son of the late Walter Jennings Smith and Imogene "Jean" Kiser Smith.
He was a 1971 graduate of Franklin Hiogh School and attended WV Tech. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, PCER #4101, Pendleton Masonic Lodge #144 AF&AM, and a founding member of South Fork Ruritan Club. He was a member Calvary Lutheran Church and had worked at Hanover Shoes, Wampler Foods and ShenMar Poultry, and he retired from Sugar Grove Navy Base.
He married Diana B. Bowers Smith, Jan. 2, 1977, who survives him. He is also survived by a daughte, Suzanne Smith Brubeck (Philip) of Staunton, VA; a son, Jason C. Smith and fiance' Martha Williams of Sugar Grove; three brothers, Gary Smith of Fanklin; Steve Smith and wife kathy of Grafton; and Greg Smith and wife Jackie of Franklin; two grandchildren, Jylee Diana Brubeck and Marion Beatrice Williams.
