David E. Fasold Sr., 81, of 305A Centerville St., Penns Creek, has gone to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
He was born July 20, 1937, in Sunbury, a son of the late Forest E. and Olive W. Fasold. He was married to Kathryn Mae Fasold who preceded him in death in December 2007.
David drove truck for Weis Markets for 37 years, retiring in 2007.
David loved cookouts and family gatherings. He was a well loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
He is survived by three two sons, David E. Fasold Jr. and his wife Ruthie of Coal Township, and Daniel W. Fasold and his significant other of Sunbury; one daughter, Gladys Girton and her husband David of Sunbury; five grandchildren, James Fasold of Mifflinburg, Michael Daniel Fasold, Michael Damien Fasold, Bryanna Girton, and Cody Girton, all of Sunbury; one great-grandchild, Wyatt Schubert; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbra and Fred Buckles of Herndon, and Carol and Rich Cawthrine of Paxinos; one brother, John Fasold of New Mexico; 10 neices; eight nephews;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Fasold in September 1963.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington
There will be a gathering for all family and friends following the burial at the Shikellamy Over Look State Park, Shikellamy State Park Road, Selinsgrove, between Tedds Landing and Northumberland.
