Dorothy A. Oliver, 90, of East Peoria died at 10:30 AM on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Pekin Manor. She was born on February 12, 1928 in Creal Springs, IL to Add and Hattie (Henson) Odum. She married Thomas C. Oliver on June 11, 1960 in East Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2010.
Dorothy is survived by 2 children Thomas L. Oliver and Anita (Scott) Burdette both of East Peoria; 1 granddaughter Erika Burdette of East Peoria; 1 brother Henry Odum of Portland, OR; 2 sisters Alice Jordan and Ollie Horn both of Marion. She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter Faith and 7 siblings.
Dorothy worked for Hiram Walker & Sons in the bottling department for 30 years. She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family.
Service will be at 2 PM on Thursday, July 26 at Gary Deiters Funeral Home, 444 E. Washington St., East Peoria, with a visitation an hour prior. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Central Illinois Riding Therapy.
