Franklin Roosevelt Evans, born in Wetumpka, AL on July 12, 1933, passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, September 10, 2016. He graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in Alex City and later worked as a Commercial Artist. Mr. Evans was a Southern Baptist, a member of Alabama Republican Party, and a founder of the Alabama James Gang.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evie Cousins Evans, and Thomas William Evans. Survivors include his children, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother, and a sister.
The burial will be at Hillview Memorial Park, Alexander City, AL. Leak Memory Chapel is directing.
