Clear Spring -- LELIA MAE POOLE BURGAN, 63, of Rt. 1, died Monday at her home. Born in Shenandoah Junction, WV, she was a daughter of Hazel Mae Wire Poole, of Hagerstown, and the late William E. Poole.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Besides her mother she is survived by her husband, Philip Lee Burgan; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Mills, Martinsburg, WV; sons, Charles Burgan, Hancock; Philip Burgan, Clear Spring; and William Burgan, Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Mary Daley, Essex; and Mrs. Emma Jean Deavers, Westminster; brother, Richard Poole, Boonsboro; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Services were held at the Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. Burial in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Boonsboro -- HAZEL MAE POOLE, of Rt. 2, a resident of Colton Manor Nursing Home, died Saturday at Washington County Hospital. She was born at Lovettsville, Va., the daughter of Clayton C. and Leah Mae Smith Wier. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Poole.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Daley, Baltimore; and Mrs. Jane Deavers, Westminster; son, Richard E. Poole, Boonsboro; brother, Milton Wier, Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
