Walter Scott Alexander, age 78, a resident of Mountaineer Rd. Philippi passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Davis Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1939 in Moatsville a son of the late Hayes O. and Lillie Virginia (Reed) Alexander. He was united in marriage December 21, 1961 to Gloria Lucille (Marsh) Alexander who survives. Also surviving-

He was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Wiant; two brothers, Dale and Jack Alexander

Mr. Alexander was a timber cutter for Hubert Nestor Sawmill and a mechanic for WVDOH

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 5-8pm and on Tuesday, July 24th from 8am-1pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery at Tacy
