Mrs. Mildred Carlson, 62, Sister Bay, died Sunday evening at Algoma Memorial hospital following a four day illness. She suffered a heart attack.
Born July 1, 1895 in Sister Bay to Gunnar and Emma Anderson, she lived in Sister Bay her entire life. She was married to Carl Carlson.
She was employed by Bunda's in Sister Bay for 15 years.
Active in the First Baptist church of Sister Bay, she belonged to the King's Daughters, was a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and church librarian.
Surviving are a grandson, Thomas Clayton Carlson; three sisters, Mrs. John (Hattie) Seaquist, Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Seaquist and Mrs. Don (Edna) Carlson, all of Sister Bay. A son Clayton was killed in World War II.
Friends may call at Casperson's. The body will be taken to the Baptist church at noon Wednesday for services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bernard Hogan will officiate and burial will be in Little Sister cemetery.
