Robert was born in Richmond, IL on March 3, 1928, a son of the late Harry and Florence (Kimball) Bogard.
He was married to Wilma Brown on Sept. 8, 1956, in Woodstock and she passed away June 12, 1980.
He was a former member of the Community Church of Richmond.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1/C from 1946 to 1948 aboard the USS Iowa.
He worked as a truck driver at Terra Cotta Industries and Cotter and Co for many years.
Robert is survived by a son, Jeff (Cindy) Bogard, of Cary, IL and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded by a son Mark in Aug. 1978, six sisters Emma Cairns, Alice Feezel, Elaine Haulotte, Florence Seaman, Mildred Benecke, Gertrude Covell, four brothers Harry, Ed and Lester Bogard and Lloyd Jones and his longtime companion Peggy Hobson.
Memorial visitation will be from 10 am Saturday Aug. 4, 2018 until the memorial service at 11:30 am. at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Man St, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Cancer Society 143 First St. Batavia, IL 60510.
Private family Inurnment will be in Richmond Cemetery.
