Born February 18, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to Edgar L. and Jane (Duke) Shearer, she had been a Shelby resident since 1998.
She was employed as a teacher with the Monroeville School System.
Elizabeth was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and volunteered in various summer and lunch programs. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and sewing. She cherished working with children and was a home economics teacher. Above all she loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include cousins Dorothy Romersberg, Donna Cetnarowski, Flora Howell, Floyd Youngkin, Becky Wynkoop; numerous other relatives, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Alice Cannon.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor J.R. Harvey will officiate with interment in Loudonville Cemetery.
