Mr. Brewer was born February 20th, 1944 in Barberton, OH to his late parents Beacher Haywood Brewer and Violet Mae Proctor Brewer. He was a Manatee High School graduate, 1962
Bradenton, FL, served honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam and attended Tampa Tech where he received his associate degree. Charles worked for GTE Corporation for 27 years and was a member of Cherry Log Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley A. Parks Brewer of the home in Cherry Log, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jean Brewer of Lake City, FL and niece Sandra Jean Matthews, of Naples, FL; sister-in-law, Florence Steel and niece Marianne Loseke of Wildwood, MO and nephews, James Steel of Washington, NC, David Steel and Gary Steel of Ames, IA and Eunice and Chuck Griswold of Ft. Myers, FL and niece Christina Griswold, Boynton Beach, FL and nephew Charles Griswold of Cape Coral, FL; niece Debra Rusek of Palmetto, FL and nephew Douglas Tyler of Roswell, GA; numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive.
A memorial service is being planned for October 27th, 2018, and details will be announced as soon as they are available.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd, Ste 100, Sarasota, FL 34232 or to the Cherry Log Christian Church, 1149 Cherry Log Street, Cherry Log, GA 30522 in memory of Mr. Brewer.
