Kenneth Earl Allison, age 93 of Bussey, died on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Pella Comfort Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 16, 1922 to Newton "Port" and Lucetta (Carter) Allison.
He graduated from Lovilia High School, class of 1941. He was in the Air Force during World War II. He married Ruth Current in 1951 in Oregon. He was a truck driver, farmer, and was a man of many trades. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time and playing cards with grandchildren, pheasant hunting, feeding birds, 1 and watching the wild life. He also enjoyed building all kinds of things, and riding around his lawn in his little Jimmy.
He is survived by his children: Roy (Anita) Allison of Knoxville, Virginia (Terry) McMurray of Bussey, step-son, Alan (Mary) Allbaugh of Knoxville, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Russell Allison of Des Moines, half-brother, Ronnie Allison of Lovilia, and sister-in-law Evelyn Allison of Des Moines. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth, two sisters, Marie Hawk and Florence "Dolly" Allison; two brothers, Alvin "Rich" Allison, John Allison, half brother, James Allison, one step daughter, Geraldine Smith, and granddaughter, Vicki DeHeer.
A Celebration luncheon with scripture by Randy Klobnak to follow will be on Sunday at 11:30 am at the Lovilia Community Building. Private Burial of remains will be in Belle Fountain Cemetery in Tracy, IA. Memorials may be directed to Pella Comfort Hospice House. Online condolences may be left at sinnottfuneralhome.com.
