Annie Price Daybell, wife of William Daybell, died on the 14th February after two years of suffering. She leaves her husband, four sons, five daughters, three brothers and four sisters, twenty-eight grandchildren and many friends to mourn her departure. Her parents and two children preceded her to the great beyond.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Daybell at the family residence on Tuesday. The speakers were John Thacker, President J.C. Jensen, President D.A. Broadbent and Bishop J.M. Rhodes, all of whom spoke words of praise for the deceased.
She was a teacher in the Relief Society for a number of years and she was the one chosen in Charleston to look after the sewing for the dead, which position she held for fifteen years. She passed away mourned and respected by all and the sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved family.
Mrs. Daybell was the daughter of Ann Powell and James Price Jr and was born at Ludlow, England, June 21st 1858, came to Utah with her parents in 1864, locating at Heber. A few years later the family moved to Charleston where she has since resided
In 1877 she was married to William Daybell and to them were born eleven children, nine of whom survive -viz: J.W. Daybell, Mary Ann Moulton and Lula Carlile of Heber, Phebe Simmons, Mrytle Boren, Violet Simmons and Warren Daybell of Charleston and Frank and Ernest Daybell of Garfield, Utah. Mrs. Daybell died at the home of her daughter Lula in Heber, where she had come to be convenient for medical treatment.
