Mrs. Jacob H. Muth

Amherst-Mrs. Bertha L. Muth, 68, of 154 Forest St., died Saturday at 11 p.m. at her home after an illness of 18 months. She was born in Russia Township Mar. 6, 1887.

Mrs. Muth had been a resident of Amherst for 42 years coming from South Amherst. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 7. She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church.

Survivors besides her husband, Jacob H. Muth, are two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Garthe and Mrs. Lila Balas, both of Amherst; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Kolb of South Amherst, and one brother, Carl Gibson of Elyria. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends will be received at the late residence until 11 a.m. tomorrow when the body will be taken to the Foursquare Gospel Church for services at 2 p.m. The Rev. William R. Mouer, assisted by the Rev. Daniel E. Buser, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. The Garland Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
