Mrs. Clara Jordan, 70, of Redwood Falls died Sunday at Redwood Falls hospital were she had been a patient four days. Last rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran church at Vesta with Rev. Alfred P. Jannusch officiating. Mrs. Jannusch will be organist and the congregation will sing.
Pallbearers will be Warren Dahlgren, Glenn Dahlgren, Parks Dahlgren and Leslie Norskog, Bird Island, Dean Dahlgren, St. Paul, and Lynn Emerson, Windom. Interment will be in Redwood Falls cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hoepner funeral home in Redwood Falls after 4 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Clara Mildred Dahlgren was born May 20, 1900 in Cairo township, Renville county, a daughter of Otto and Alice Dahlgren. Her parents died when she was 12 and she went to Fairfax to make her home with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. William Greer. She attended school in Fairfax and new Ulm, University of Minnesota and a normal school. She taught rural school before her marriage to Albert Herman Jordan in Olivia May 16, 1930. They farmed south of Vesta and after his death June 25, 1966 she moved to Redwood Falls.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Terrance (June) McCabe, and a brother, David Dahlgren, both of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
