Louise passed away on June 18, 2018 at Hampshire Center, Romney WV. Her parents William Carroll Carter and Elizabeth Ellen Cooper Carter preceded her in death. Also preceded her in death were four brothers, William Thurston, Carroll Elmer, Charles Franklin and Fred Thomas Carter. Louise was born in Purcellville, VA and was raised on the family dairy farm in Round Hill with her seven siblings and attended elementary schools in Loudoun County and Lincoln High School.
Louise worked at various banks within Loudoun County for approximately 45 years. She retired from Middleburg Bank in October 2015. Louise loved planting flower gardens, sewing, painting and dancing.
Louise is survived by one son, Dennis Edward McGaha of North Carolina, wife Susan, and two daughters, Debra Ann Williams, husband Kenneth of Moorefield, WV and Linda Susan Baldridge of Port Clinton, OH. She has nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Walter (Bucky) Carter, wife Betty of Leesburg, VA. Two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Carter of Moorefield, WV with whom she lived with and Nancy Jean Ritenour, husband Tommy of Front Royal, VA.
Graveside services were held at Lovettsville Union Cemetery on Friday, June 22, 2018. Halls Funeral Home, 140 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville, VA made the funeral arrangements.
