Wendell Edwin Ogden, 71, of Rockwall, Texas passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 in Rockwall Texas. Wendell was born October 5, 1946 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Hiram Delbert Ogden and the late Ellen Margaret (Heck) Ogden.

He graduated from Oklahoma State University after serving in the United States Army and worked as a CPA. Throughout his life, Wendell enjoyed traveling, U.S. Civil War reenacting, wild flowers, and listening to Bluegrass music. He was a history and trivia buff full of knowledge, and the person you wanted on your team during a game of Trivial Pursuit.

He is survived by his wife, son and fiancée, sister-in-law, three nieces/spouses.

He was preceded into death by his parents, Hiram Ogden and Ellen Margaret Ogden, first wife Lou Ann Ogden, and four brothers, Merle Ogden, Leo Ogden, Glen Ogden, and John Ogden, and one nephew Merle David Ogden.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, Oklahoma with Pastor Albert Quick officiating. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ponca City.

Services are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City.
