Daniel purchased lands in Moreland Township, which was then part of Philadelphia County, on August 1, 1781 and December 12, 1795. He married Elizabeth Yerkes, daughter of Silas Yerkes and Hannah Dungan, in 1773, and he and his wife Elizabeth had the following children:
