Bridgeport ~ Rollins Bilby, 83, a retired American Airlines Captain, farmer, rancher and business owner, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Lake Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mountain Home Cemetery in Bryson. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Johnny Irish will officiate. Pallbearers include Nicholas Bilby, Kyle Bilby, Ryan Bilby, Michael Bilby, Jeffrey Bilby, and Jason Garrett. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Williams, Dr. Marvin Warren and Dr. Jerry Gleason.

Rollins was born on November 27, 1934 to Alfred Monroe and Lovie Faye (Marley) Bilby in Jacksboro, Texas. He was united in marriage to Connie Clark on April 17, 1981 in Arlington, Texas. Rollins settled in Wise County in 1973. He was the owner of Twin Hills restaurant at Lake Bridgeport. He was also a graduate of Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Alvin Monroe Bilby. 

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Connie Bilby of Lake Bridgeport; his daughter, D’Anna Garrett and husband Kelly of Bridgeport; his sons, Jeff Bilby and wife Esther of Paradise and Scott Bilby and wife Patty of Boerne; his daughter Kimberly Fritch of Euless; his grandchildren, Nicole Jordan and husband Cason of Paradise, Jason Garrett and wife Callie of Midland, Nicholas Bilby and wife Natalie of Lake Bridgeport, Kyle Bilby and wife Amanda of Lake Bridgeport, Ryan Bilby and wife Kallie of Bridgeport, Michael Bilby of Fort Worth, Taylor Bilby of College Station, Jeff Bilby of Boerne, Lauren Fritch of Austin and Clark Fritch of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 5 great grandchildren; his brother Rex W. Bilby and his Lucille of Senate; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. 

A special thank you to Hospice of Wichita Falls caregivers Tammy and Jennifer for providing comfort and care.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Rollins Bilby’s honor to Texas A & M Corp Cadets at College Station.
