The Lord called Ione home peacefully on July 5, 2018. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years Glen Alfred Masters (1960), her son Fred Warren Masters (2012) and her son Glen Wesley Masters (2013). She is survived by her son Daniel Wayne Masters and her daughter Ellen Cecelia Masters. She is Grandmother to 9, Great-Grandmother to 19, and Great-Great-Grandmother to 1.
During her short but blissful 13 years of marriage she doted on being a wife, a mother and a homemaker. Later, Esther worked as a Communications Specialist at NAS Jax Civil Service and retired in 1988. She later became a nanny to newborn twins and lovingly cared for them throughout their early childhood. During her golden years she maintained an active life gardening, cooking, baking and helping others as she loved to do.
Esther devoted her life to God, family and friends and is adored by many.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
