Leonard S. Hughes, 81, of Colfax passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007 at American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1926 in Augusta to John and Bertha (DeLong) Hughes. He married Joyce Sundstrom on Dec. 6, 1952 in Rockford, Ill. He worked for Broan – Nutone Company in Hartford for 22 years, and moved to Colfax in 1993. He was a member of Holden Lutheran Church in Colfax.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hughes of Colfax; daughters, Nicki (Richard) DeMars of Randolph, Diana (Mark) Cypher of Slinger and Carolyn (Larry) Pagel of Iron Ridge; brother, David Hughes of Humbird; sisters, Peg Wood of Milwaukee, Darlene Holman of Humbird and Betty Eisberner of Eau Claire; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Doreen Hughes and one grandson, Lee Daniel Radschlag.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2007 at Holden Lutheran Church, Colfax with Pastor Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Sampson – Kastner Funeral Home in Colfax and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
