Born in Blair, Fairfield County, South Carolina January 17, 1929, he was the son of the late Andrew Franklin "A.F." Blair, Sr. and his wife, Ruby Coleman Blair.

Survived by his wife Lee Ona Blair, and sons Andrew Franklin "Dru" Blair, III and Michael Blair and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Long-time member of Salem Presbyterian Church. Artist, craftsman, genealogist, family historian, Korean War veteran.

A memorial funeral service was held Saturday, June 14 at 1 p.m. at Salem Presbyterian Church. A reception followed in the Fellowship Building. Burial will be private.

Andrew Franklin "Frank" Blair, Jr., of Blair, S.C., died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 after a brief illness.

Frank was born January 17, 1929 in Blair, Fairfield County, and was 89 years of age. He was the son of the late Andrew Franklin "AF" Blair, Sr. and Ruby Lucille Coleman, also of Blair. Mr. Blair was a 1946 Graduate of Monticello High School at Salem Crossroads. He attended Clemson College, the University of Georgia and was graduated in June 1954 from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving as an Army Ranger, and after the war he became a Regional Manager of Sinclair Oil Company. Later, he formed Frank Blair Oil Company and Blair Trucking Company.

He was past president and Trustee of the Coleman Feaster Mobley Association, and Member of the Fairfield Historical Association, and Sons of Confederate Veterans.

He was predeceased by his siblings Robert Coleman Blair Sr., Patricia "Patsy" Blair Ligon, and Lawrence William Blair.

Surviving are his beloved wife Lee Ona DeHart Blair, and his two sons Andrew ("Dru") Franklin Blair, III, and Michael Cameron Blair and his wife Christie Santiago Blair all residing in Blair. Frank was blessed with four grandchildren, Alexis Cameron Blair, Samantha Nicole Blair, Olivia Coleman Blair, and William Michael Preston Blair (Liam).

Frank was known as being one of the last true Southern Gentlemen. To know him was to love him! He had a gift of working with his hands, artistically creating stained glass, ceramic tiles, baking cakes, collards, and his famous macaroni and cheese pie.

His favorite past times were spending countless hours at the General Store in Blair with his longtime best friend Bill Hendrix.

The funeral Service for Frank Blair was held Saturday, July 14, at 1 p.m. at Salem Presbyterian Church, in Blair (Salem Crossroads, SC Hwys 34 & 215). The family met with friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Pope Funeral Home, 521 South Congress Street, Winnsboro, SC 29180 assisted the family.

Frank was a long-time member of the Salem Presbyterian Church having made a profession of Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ August 20, 1944. He later transferred his membership to the West New Bern Presbyterian Church in April 1958. His membership was later transferred back to Salem Church where he was an active member and much-loved member.

Inurnment was held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Salem Church Cemetery with family members present and the Rev. Richard Hodges officiating at a brief ceremony.
