Alan J. Sarno Westford, W.R. Grace manager; 53
WESTFORD -- Alan J. Sarno, 53, a Westford resident who worked as a project manager for the W.R. Grace Chemical Co. in Cambridge, died at his home on Thursday, Jan. 31. He was the husband of Sheila L. (Kelley) Sarno.
He was born in Malden on June 2, 1948, the son of Madeline (Izzo) Sarno of Malden and the late Jerald Sarno. He grew up in Malden and graduated from Malden High School in 1966.
He served with the U.S. Army Reserves after high school.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jonathan S. Sarno and Jeffrey A. Sarno, both of Westford; one brother, Jerald P. Sarno of Newburyport; a mother-in-law, Barbara (Carley) Kelley of Arlington; a nephew, Stephen P. Sarno of Malden; and many other family members and friends. He also was the brother of the late John S. Sarno.
