Priscilla Jane Milligan was born in McLuney, Perry, Ohio, the daughter of John Ker Milligan and Priscilla Jane "Jane" Tomlinson. By 1860 her family had moved to Bearfield, Perry, Ohio. On September 5, 1871 she married Calvin Peter Morgan in McLuney, Perry, Ohio. Their first three children were born to them in Ohio: Wilda Blanche Morgan (1872-1898), Myrtie Marcella (1874-1896), and Marshall Morton (1878-1962). In 1880 Calvin moved their family, together with Calvin's parents and some of Calvin's siblings, to Osage County, Kansas. A fourth child was born to them in Burlingame Kansas: Orville Scott Morgan, (Sr.)(1884-1932). Their second daughter Myrtie died young, of typhoid fever, in 1896. When their daughter Wilda died in 1898, they brought her daughter, Marcella Wile, to live with them temporarily, until Marcella's father could set up a new homestead for them in Oklahoma. By 1902 Priscilla was an invalid, and to make life easier for her and to afford educational advantages to the children, Calvin moved the family to Baldwin, Kansas. On August 1, 1903 Jennie died in her Baldwin home of heart failure. She must have been well loved, for her son Orville named a daughter after her.
