Janie Belvin
Perry - Janie Belvin of Perry died Tuesday, April 2, 1996 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, at Oldfield Baptist Church with burial in the Oaklevel Cemetery with Rev. W.G. Bass officiating.
A native of Houston County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Daisy Johnson, and the widow of Henry Belvin. A member of Oldfield Baptist Church, she was the mother of the church and a member of the missionary department.
Survivors include her children, Gertrude Belvin of Perry, Sophie Childs of Macon, Martha Sheppard of Atlanta and Robert Belvin of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the residence of her daughter, Gertrude Belvin.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Richardson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
