KAYSVILLE--Deborah Carlease Bugger Khoury, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at McKay Dee Hospital.

She was born March 4, 1923 in Ogden, Utah , a daughter of Joseph John and Annie Briggs Browning Bugger. She married Louis A. Khoury Sr., August 7, 1943 in South Mills, North Carolina. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was reared and educated in Layton and Kaysville, Utah . She was a member of the LDS Church. She worked in the Sunday School Organization and Mutual.

Deborah enjoyed her family and church work.

Deborah served her country during World War II, with the U.S. Marine Corps and was in the first unit of the Lady Marines formed in the United States.

She is survived by her husband, Louis, of 56 wonderful years; one son, Louis A. Khoury, Jr., Kaysville; one daughter, Karin K. Snow, Hermiston, Oregon; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Alma "J" Bugger, Bountiful; C. Burke Bugger, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Barbara Thomassen, Kaysville and Annie B. Adams, Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph John and Annie Briggs Browning Bugger; two brothers, Valentine and J. John Bugger; three sisters, Leona Major, Catherine Thornley, and Phoebe Robins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 1999 at the Kaysville 18th Ward, 50 East Mutton Hollow Road, with Bishop Paul Gardiner officiating. Frienda will meet one hour prior to service. Chapel will be open at 9 a.m. for family.
