Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
Mrs. Ginn was born in Wayne County Dec. 12, 1935, to the late Cecil Pender Sr. and Ruby Bass Pender.
She was a member of Fremont Holiness Church.
She is survived by four sons; two daughters; three brothers, all of Eureka; one sister of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ginn was preceded in death by her husband, General Jackson “Jack” Ginn; her son, Dwight Dee Ginn; two brothers, Cecil Pender Jr. and Sonny Pender; one sister, Edith Head; and a grandson.
Shirley's maternal grandparents were Ava Lane and Charlie Bass of Eureka.
