Obituary

Ardena Sue (Hayes) Buck, 71 passed away on July 6th, 2018 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born on August 18th, 1946 in Sapulpa to A. A. and Frances (Hampton) Hayes. She graduated from Holdenville High School. Sue worked for Charles Komar and Sons and is a member of the 25 year club. She enjoyed visiting with old friends and co-workers. Later, she went on to obtain her CNA license from Wes Watkins Technology Center. She began her career at Holdenville General Hospital and retired from the Medical Records Division. Sue enjoyed life and loved spending time with her sisters, family, friends, and her grandchildren. She loved antiquing, sewing, and reading.


She is preceded in death by her parents , and brother Jerry Hayes.


Survivors include her children John Buck of Indiana, Tessa Buck-Ragland and husband Albert of Vernon, Texas, Eric Elliott and wife Crystal of Choctaw, special nephew Chebon Buck of Ada, grandchildren Addison, Carson, Emma, Easton, AJ, and Chase, siblings Judy Wallace of Skiatook, Lynna Rives of Clay, New York, Caren Bennett of Shawnee, and Carol Wakeley of Shawnee, long time family member and neighbor Linda Buck, special provider, Angel Perry Elbert, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.


Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville. Rev. Jimmy Anderson will officiate assisted by Bill Robinson. Pallbearers will be Chebon Buck, Aubie Keesee, Jackie Siegrist Jr., Jerry Wakeley, Josh LeValley, Dustin Dill, and David Barbre. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Harjo, Jackie Siegrist, James Sexton, Bobby Bunch, Robert Bennett, Jimmy Wakeley, and Dean Hewitt. Interment will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Holdenville Hospital Pink Ladies Auxiliary, 100 McDougal Drive, Holdenville, OK 74848.
