Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 21 at Belton United Methodist Church for Jack Anderson of Belton, who died on March 18, 1984 at Grandview Ambulatory Care Center. Burial was in Garden City Cemetery. He was born in Edgerton and was a lifelong area resident. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Anderson retired in 1982 after spending 30 years as an overseer with Mount Pleasant Township. He was considered an expert in the care of township roads. Survivors include his wife, Irena Anderson of the home; a daughter, Sharon Burnam of Belton; five brothers, Theodore Anderson and Robert Anderson, both of Plattsburg, Rea Anderson of Lewisville, Texas, LaRue Anderson of Palm Springs, California, and Joseph Anderson of Joplin; five sisters, Catherine Curd of Sunrise Beach, Patsy Donahue of Palm Springs, California, Elmina Hunzicker of Los Angeles, California, Louise Fox of Middleton, Wisconsin, and Fay Griffith of Plattsburg; and four grandchildren.
