Son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Jones) Landis. He was a Private in Co E, 116th Regt of PA Volunteers from 6/11/1862 until his death. Died of TB at Satterle US Military Hospital in Philadelphia.
His brother, Aaron J. Landis, was in the same regiment, enlisted 8/11/1862, and was killed in the Battle of Fredericksburg in VA on 12/13/1862 age 19. At the bottom of Allen's stone is written that his brother died in Fredericksburg.
