American Boyers, Edition 7, Volume 4 states " Casper Beyer and his family came to America on the ship "Tyger", reaching Philidelphia Pennsylvania on November 19, 1771", recorded by Volume 17, Second Series of the Pennsylvania Archives. According to records in the hands of Mrs. Fronheiser and confirmed on pages 41 & 42, Volume 5, Fifth Series, Pennsylvania Archives, he was a Lieutenant under Colonel Miller in the Revolutionary War. Mrs. Mary Seymour and her sister played as children with the old uniform of Lieut. Casper Beyer and saw his sword. His name appears in the records of Sherman's Lutheran and Reformed Church, West Manheim Twp., York County, Pa., in 1773 when his daughter Catherine was baptized. He moved to near Westminster Maryland where his name appears in the records of Krider's Evan. Luth. Church between December 25, 1780, when his son Frederick was baptized and May 19, 1793, when he took his last communion. Administration accounts at Frederick dated March 24, 1795, show that Gabriel Beyer, reported a balance of 265-12-7 pounds. Deeds dated June 10, 1795 and recorded at Frederick September 8, 1795, show transactions between some of his children. His wife's name was Catherine, born 1737, died February 14, 1810. Both are buried at Krider's Church Cemetery near Westminster Maryland. Copies of their tombstone inscriptions are located at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore, although this record gives Caspar's death as 1798, which is in error. The name here is spelled Bier. Children: John, Susanna, Gabriel, Ann Barbara, Jacob, Catherine P., Elizabeth, David and Frederick.
