He was a machinist. He was married to Rosella Shuck 1960 to 1980.
He married Pat Richardson in December, 1995. She survives.

Irene Frasier, Mankato,KS, and Loraine Ward, Hutchinson, KS; step-daughter, Sherri Saldane, Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Ronald, Atwater, CA; sisters: Sarah Picking, Abilene, KS; Arlene Bogle, Wichita, KS, and Charlene Tucker, Hutchinson; 7 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cora Daugherty; granddaughter Amy Babson; 2 brothers, Morris Marion; 2 sisters, Dorothy Dahl and Marjorie Sleisher, and 2 step-sons, Mark and Steven Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ott Funeral Home, Haven. Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. that afternoon at the Union Valley Cemetery, Scandia, KS. Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., July 4, with family present, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Clearpath Hospice, Wichita or Haven Senior Center, both in care of Ott Funeral Home.
