Jimmy was born October 1, 1934 in Republic, KS, to Lee and Elda (Beck) Daugherty.
He was a machinist. He was married to Rosella Shuck 1960 to 1980.
He married Pat Richardson in December, 1995. She survives.
Jimmy “Jim” L. Daugherty, 83, died July 1, 2018 at his home in Haven, Kansas.
Other survivors include 3 daughters; Rosalie Harper, Haven,; S. Irene Frasier, Mankato,KS, and Loraine Ward, Hutchinson, KS; step-daughter, Sherri Saldane, Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Ronald, Atwater, CA; sisters: Sarah Picking, Abilene, KS; Arlene Bogle, Wichita, KS, and Charlene Tucker, Hutchinson; 7 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cora Daugherty; granddaughter Amy Babson; 2 brothers, Morris Marion; 2 sisters, Dorothy Dahl and Marjorie Sleisher, and 2 step-sons, Mark and Steven Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ott Funeral Home, Haven. Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. that afternoon at the Union Valley Cemetery, Scandia, KS. Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., July 4, with family present, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Clearpath Hospice, Wichita or Haven Senior Center, both in care of Ott Funeral Home.
