Leona Gaiter, 89, Brownstown, died at 2 a.m. Friday, April 23, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour.
Mrs. Gaiter was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Apostolic Tabernacle in Brownstown.
Born May 23, 1909, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of William Riley Allman and Molly Barr Allman. On November 6, 1926, she married the Revered Raymond L. Gaiter, who died October 26, 1998.
Survivors include a son living in Dunnellon, Fla.; a daughter of Winter Haven, Fla; three grandchildren: one of Alabama; another of Florida; and a third in Columbus; 12 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Allman, Dewey Allman and Oscar "Pip" Allman; and two sisters, Miriam "Took" McElfresh and Josafine "Pink" Hupp.
The Reverend Nathan Phillips will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Full Gospel Apostolic Tabernacle.
