Virginia May "Jiny" DENISON (05/16/1926 - 06/26/2018)

Jiny passed away June 26, 2018 in Spokane, WA. She was born to Philip and Helen Werle in Black Diamond, WA on May 16, 1926. She was raised in Coeur d'Alene and Hayden Lake, ID by her foster parents, Mother and Father Custer, before moving to Spokane in 1947. She worked as a cashier at Jack's 24-Hour Foods. Jiny was a long-time active member of First Free Methodist Church. She was always happy and full of laughter.

Jiny was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Denison; her parents; all seven of her siblings; and three sons.

She is survived by her sons, Darrell (Christine) Larson, and Dale Larson; step-daughter Carole Denison; grandchildren Derek (Rachelle) Reis-Larson, Mandi Larson (fiancée Greg), Heather Larson, Devin Larson, and Janae Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends, many of whom called her Mom.

Visitation will be held at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA, Monday, July 2, 2018, 1-5 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 3, 12:30 pm at First Free Methodist Church, 1725 W. Courtland, Spokane, WA, with interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to First Free Methodist Church or the Union Gospel Mission.
