Betsy Ann Patterson, 82, of Mapleton, passed away at 12;27 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born November 15, 1935 in Peoria to Merril and Rickie ((Neptune) Kern, she married Carl Patterson, Sr. on April 21, 1978 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are five sons, Bill (Rhonda) Brown of Glasford, Paul (Sandy) Patterson of Spring Bay, Babe Patterson of Friday Harbor, Washington, Shawn (Terry) Patterson of McHenry and Carl Patterson, Jr. of Illinois; two daughters, Jody (Duke) Binegar of Glasford and Kristy (Andy) Burns of Monterey, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Eileen Tharp of Kingston Mines and two brothers, Wayne (Donna) Kern of Texas and Dr. Rudy Kern of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

A homemaker, Betsy enjoyed shopping at flea markets, antiquing and traveling. She had a giving and loving heart and her door was always open to those in need.

A private graveside service will be at noon on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Kingston Mines Cemetery for family only. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The family welcomes all to a Celebration of Life for Betsy following the service. Time and location to be announced.
