Houston-Betty Jean Eaton Durham, 81, passed away May 10, 2018, at her home. She was born March 18. 1937 to the late Lonnie and Bertha Arlita Mixon Eaton Brooks in Chickasaw County. She was a Baptist. Everybody called her Granny. She loved her Lord and Savior, family, friends and loved by many. She was an amazing daughter, mother, sister and granny.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston with Bro. Randy Rinehart officiating. Memorial Funeral Home in Houston is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Price McClain (Robert) and Amanda Scarbrough (James David) both of Houston; two sisters, Claudia Huffman (Robert) of Woodland and Louise Bingham of Pheba; her best friend, Barbara Burk of Jackson and a special friend, Lamon Griggs of Houston; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; very special nieces and nephews and a very loved little boy Jon Conner Price.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Durham; father of her children, Dan Houston; her parents; three sons, Mike, Tommy and Danny Houston; three sisters, Beulah “Popi” Scaife, Thelma Henderson and Laura Gann; four brothers, Walter “Buddy” Eaton, Floyd Eaton, Lloyd Eaton and Billy Ray Eaton and a grandson, Christopher Chad Houston.
