MILDRED ANN ZACHRY
July 3, 1922 ~ June 28, 2018

Graveside services for Mildred Zachry will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Happy Cemetery in Happy, TX with Pastor Larry Harvey officiating. Mildred went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2018, in Hugo, OK at the age of 95. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mildred Ann Zachry was born July 3, 1922 in Happy, Texas to William Elzo and Alice May (Wesley) Guest. In high school she played the bass drum in the Uncle Sam Band and played basketball.

While attending Amarillo College, she was the catcher for a semi-pro softball team.

She married Clarence Dale Zachry in 1942 and moved to El Paso while he was serving in the war.

Most of her life was spent in Happy, Texas raising her family. She moved with her family to the Hugo/Rattan area in 1969.

Those close to Mildred remember how hardworking and driven she was. She always did whatever job needed to be done. Throughout her life she was many things including: a Cub Scout den mother, Sunday school teacher, a farmhand on the family farm, and accountant.

She finally retired at the age of ninety-two. Most importantly she is remembered for the love she gave and sacrifices she made for her family.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings; Alice Neal, Clara Magness, Bill Guest, and Ralph Guest, daughter-in-law; Linda Zachry, and great-grandson; Taylor Lester.

Mildred is survived by sons, Dick Zachry and wife, Dee of Comanche, TX and John Zachry of Hugo, OK;

Six grandchildren Amy Alexander, Chris Zachry and wife, Belinda, Jennifer Lester and husband, Shannon, Mitzi Zachry, Jason Zachry, and Casey Zachry and wife, Jessica,

Eleven great-grandchildren; Chelbi Snow and husband, Bradley, Morgan Williams and husband, Cody, Micah Zachry, Mason Alexander, Logan “Spud” Zachry, Brandon Alexander, Colton Lester, Baylee Zachry, Tripp Zachry, Maddox Zachry, and Jaxton Zachry,

And four great-great-grandchildren; Amberlyn Williams, Brinlei Snow, Briley Snow, and Allyson Williams.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK.
