Madeline G. Ogden, 80, of Cuba, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at the Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born July 16, 1920, in Ray, to the late Guy and Grace Potter Curtis. She married Galen Ogden Sept. 7, 1937, in Palmyra, Mo. He died July 12, 1988. Surviving are one son, Galen E. "Gene" Ogden of Nineveh, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Colleen) Ray of East Peoria; and Ms. Connie Ogden of Peoria; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Melba Phillips of Ray and Mrs. Carol Briney of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Tammy Jo Behymer of Tremont and Michelle Frakes-Hari of Creve Coeur, whom she raised in her home. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Henderson, two brothers and three sisters. She was a member of the Cuba Assembly of God Church and worked as a cashier for the Kroger Food Store in Canton and the Davis Food Store in St. David for many years. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Aaron Malusky officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.
