He was a World War II Army veteran and had a distinguished career as a mechanical engineer.
He owned the Lion and Eagle Antique Shop in Providence Forge, Va.
He was a member of the Lions Club of New Kent and was voted "Lion of the Year" in 1993 to 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by his five children and their spouses, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
