Margaret Tucker, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 16th, 2018. She was born in Adger, Alabama on November 29th, 1931 to George Washington Hosmer and Dollye Ann Hyche in a one room log cabin as the youngest of 13 children. She married Raymond Lee Tucker (Tuck) on November 12, 1966. She lived a life of adventure traveling throughout the United States, traveling numerous times from Alabama to Alaska, Canada and Hawaii (before it became a state). Alaska has always held a special place in her heart; after numerous visits and residing there for 10 years, it was her favorite place of residence. She met Tuck while living in Alaska and they were married in South Carolina. After Tuck's military career, they chose to make Abilene, Texas their home. She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. A visitation will be held at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home at 5701 Highway 277 South in Abilene on Tuesday, June 19th from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, June 20th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints at 3325 N. 12th St. in Abilene. The funeral will begin at 11:00 am with an additional viewing before the funeral services beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery.
